Common questions
How do I export or import a pattern?
Export and import are Pro features. Export saves a .dotbead.json file through your phone's share sheet. Import a .dotbead.json file the same way, through the share sheet.
What does Pro include, and how do I restore it?
Pro is a one-time purchase (not a subscription) that unlocks Fill, Rectangle, Replace a colour everywhere, Beading mode, Ruler, guide lines, and pattern import and export. It is tied to your Apple ID or Google account. To get it back on a new or reset device, open Settings in the app and choose Restore purchase. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google. If Restore finds nothing, write to us.
Which techniques and beads are supported?
Techniques: Peyote (1, 2 or 3 drop), brick stitch, loom weave and square stitch. Beads: Miyuki Delica 11/0 only, with 1,212 colours.
Why do the colours look different from my real beads?
Delica colours were measured from product photos, so shades on screen are approximate, and every screen shows colour a little differently. Use the colour to choose and the catalogue code to buy.
How do I delete my data?
Your data is only on your phone. Delete a saved pattern from your library, or delete the app to erase everything. Files you exported are separate copies that you manage yourself. See the privacy policy.
How do I zoom the chart on Android?
On Android the chart uses zoom buttons. If they are missing or don't respond, write to us with your phone model and Android version.
